"it was everything i expected , very clever." 2010-02-14

for little boys who like cars and trucks, it is a very unique way of introducing the potty to them. although i have not had too much luck with the going it has become a useful tool. well worth the money. and the price was right too. A BIG THANK YOU.!!!!

"Hate it" 2010-02-08

This chair is cute and fun but the guard is the worst for my two year old boy. Also the sit does not fit him at all. He will not sit on because he says it hurts. He loves playing with and sitting on watching tv when the top down but for a potty chair it is no good.

"The worst" 2009-12-13

I cannot believe how poorly constructed this potty is! I bought this for my 2 year old son and the seat was so big so he could not comfortably sit down. Also the guard that block urine from spraying out is almost non-existent so I was afraid a boy using this would cause a mess. The noise that is created when the potty is used is so loud, unpleasant and startling it made it so no one wanted the thing used. Although I realized this was not going to work for us as a potty, my son did like the truck shape so I decided to keep it as a toy and step stool. However it was so unstable that whenever he stood on it, it tipped over! I cannot believe they market this product as a step stool. Eventually I had to just throw it away because it was too dangerous for my son to use. I ended up buying the Baby Bjorn potty which is fantastic, and I highly recommend that.

"Terrible potty" 2009-10-14

[...] My son also really likes the potty because of the noises and my son is excited and encouraged to use the potty because of the noises. And just like the other reviewer's potty, the metal piece on ours also corroded very quickly. The corroded piece looks nasty no matter how clean we keep the potty. The other problem I have with this potty is that the top is very difficult for my son to lift to use it. It is pointless if I have to lift it for him everytime. He wants to use it by himself and now he doesn't get the opportunity.
Not a great product. Too expensive for so many problems.

"Great potty, but poorly made." 2009-09-30
By S. Thorsteinson
My son loved this potty and the fact that it made truck noises when he peed in it. This was very encouraging to him and he potty trained quickly. However, I gave it only two stars because the orange bucket that catches the pee has a little sensor in the bottom which activates the noises. This is made of some very base metal and after less than three months of use (despite the fact that I cleaned it out after every use) the pee caused this sensor to corrode enough that it got a hole in it and what is the point of a bucket with a hole in it??? Good luck!!
** Since posting the above, I telephoned Safety 1st and they mailed me a new orange bucket free of charge. They did this immediately without asking questions!! So at least the service was great!!
And just a comment about what the reviewer below said, Yes, I also had trouble with the lid thingy that sits on top of the seat. In the end, I just popped it off completely leaving only the yellow bit, the white bit and the orange bucket. I sat it in a big plastic tote in the playroom and my 2 year old son climbs in and out when he needs to go potty. He is almost completely potty-trained thanks to this potty, it really has been great - if you can get the makers to send you another replacement bucket that is!!
