"Great for starting to potty train" 2010-02-17
By D. Peters
We've tried 2 other pottys and this is the only one that worked for our 9 month old. The other ones had him sitting on plastic and it was very uncomfortable and created a red ring around his bottom area. This one is comfortable, perfect for his "stuff" to stay down and easy to clean.I've read reviews on this product that the foam soaks up urine. However, we have not had that problem since our boy pees sitting right now so the urine goes down to the bottom, not into the ring.I really love this potty because he can sit on it for a long time, which helps since he doesn't know to go right away when he sits down just yet. I highly recommend this for little ones and the price is very reasonable compared to some others we've tried (baby bjorn and boom). Not sure if this will be the potty we use when he gets a bit older since it seems to fit him perfectly now (might be too small when he gets older). Already our money has been well spent!

"Lid is a serious scrape risk" 2010-02-15
By M. Broge-Connor (Pittsburgh, PA, USA)
BE CAREFUL! The lid is deep, full of sharp lines and edges, and lays flat on the floor behind the potty unless you prop it up against a wall or something. Twice now my 2 year old daughter stumbled while trying to sit on the potty and fell onto the open lid. She got several nasty scratches and bruises. As a result, we made a soft pillow insert for the lid to avoid a repeat. We bought this potty for my daughter because of the soft seat. Even after rinsing and drying immediately after she uses it, the seat still absorbs urine, which smells bad and is discoloring the seat. Now she is getting a red rash ring on her bum - at first I thought it was just the normal red ring you get from sitting for a while, but on closer inspection, the whole area of her bum that touches the soft ring was red and inflamed, for the better part of a whole day (whether than was from the urine/ammonia soaked in the seat or the cleaning products I've used on the ring I don't know). My daughter is 35 pounds and when she stands on the closed potty like a step stool, the lid shifts a little, but enough to alter her balance - I would be careful using it as a stepstool for heavier children.

"Horrible and unsanitary!" 2010-02-02
By AudioCDFanatic (Boston,MA)
This potty is horrible! I agree with others that the cushion is not plastic but FOAM and it absorbs the urine! UGH! That was not a pleasant discovery. So it is always getting wet and absorbing the waste. My daughter is three and now that she is using the potty all the time, I have found how bad it is. The urine will go right over the shield even for a girl! Then it pools under the cushion or goes over entirely and leaks over onto her pants and on the floor!I will NEVER use this again, it went right into the recycle bin! Your best bet is to buy a seat that goes on top of the standard toilet. They do make them with steps and safety handles/railings.DO NOT BUY THIS!

"had to get a different potty" 2010-01-26
By Debra K. Stankewitz (arlington, tx)
We bought this thinking - GREAT! A 3-in-1 potty for our small bathroom. BUT, whenever my son went to sit on it, it would move across the floor, bump into the wall and the top that was lifted open would hit him in the back. I liked the comfy cushion, but it was already getting stained and worn after a few uses. Too many parts to clean, too hard for my little guy to sit on easily - we always had to help him. We went out and bought a Baby Bjorn this weekend. We wanted to use this potty just as a step stool, but it's too unsafe sliding on the floor and with no grip material on the top of it. We're not using the big potty, yet, so we are 0 for 3 on this potty.

"Too little for our little boy" 2010-01-18
By Unimpressed Grandma (MO)
The circle of the seat is way too little. If we finally get our boy's private parts behind the shield, his behind is so far back he would poo on the seat.
