My daughter is 2 1/2. We have the regular padded child seat that goes on the potty, but my daughter didn't feel very secure on it. This gives her the comfort of having rails and a step to get on and off without falling in or slipping off. Easy enough for her to prop up and take off on the potty herself. Folds up when not in use so everyone else can still use the toilet too. I'm even considering taking this along on a car trip for public rest stops. I'd recommend to anyone.

When I started using this potty seat I was very surprised that it had such great reviews and many people used it on boys. This seat is NOT FOR BOYS. The tiny splash guard is useless. Potty training is already hard enough without pee flying all over the place. Every time my son used it, his pee would shoot straight over the splash guard and onto the floor. Then, he would get startled and push his private down to make the pee go in the toilet. This would cause pee to get all over the top of the seat and under the seat as well as on and under the actual toilet seat. It would also run down the front of the toilet onto the floor. Even when he would push his "wee wee" down beforehand, pee would still get all over the toilet and floor. Soooooooo, every time he used the toilet I had to clean the potty seat, the toilet and the floor. If you have a boy, try the Disney Soft Potty Seats by the First Years. There is not a step attached but the pee guard is higher and snaps in place. I tried 4 different potties/potty seats before this and these are by far the best ones. The pee guard is perfect, the seat is soft, and my son LOVES the Cars design. With this being said, this potty seat is very nice and cushy. It fits on my toilet well and I have no problems with it moving around. My son really loved the independence he had when using it since I didn't have to help him get on the toilet. I think it will be perfect for when I potty train my baby girl.

We've had this seat for about 8 months now. I ordered it because my son had difficulty moving our large wooden step stool and the lightweight plastic one was not tall enough for him. When this arrived he used it right away and was so VERY excited that he could use the potty all by himself. Mommy and Daddy were pretty thrilled about that too!I was a little concerned about the construction; it didn't seem all that sturdy so I called the company to ask about a weight limit. The lady on the phone told me they didn't have one, but that she had stood on her son's bottom step and if we had any problems to call. Well, almost a year later, while putting this up, my son somehow cracked the bottom foot. I emailed the company on a Sunday and received an email first thing Monday morning apologizing for the inconvenience and requesting clarification about which piece was broken. By the end of the week, I had received a replacement and we are still using this seat!I am always impressed with companies that stand by their products. We have all been very happy with this purchase and I would certainly purchase again from this company.Incidentally, my parents have the non-step potty seat (Mommy's Helper Contoured Cushie Tushie Potty Seat) and the design is far superior to the 2-piece cartoon-themed model we purchased, both for comfort and for cleaning.

I bought this product after returning another because the steps didn't reach the floor. This one is definitely made better. It appears as sturdy as something can be when its made from plastic, but the seat doesn't fit our toilet. We reversed the guides that come screwed on to give it a bit more room, so its workable. In reality, however, my son prefers to just hold himself up over the toilet rather than use this.

I love this toilet seat for potty training. My son is a big kid. He just turned 3 and is 37lbs and 41 inches tall. All the other potties I have purchased have seemed too small. I also wanted to encourage the use of the actual toilet, not just in a free standing potty. The problem I had, was I have an oblong shaped toilet that standard seats they sell would not fit. I would put the other seats on and they would slide around. This was not at all stable and did not encourage my son or myself to want to use it for potty training. With the Mommys Helper seats design it stabilizes as soon as your child steps up onto the stool to sit on the seat. It is the perfect size for little ones but also allows room to grow. The other great part is it is a seat and step stool in one. The handles on the sides are great and allow my child to get on the seat by himself.
