I had the potty for not more than 20 minutes before my son picked up the foam seat and took a bite. I had to fish a pice out of his mouth. Within the next hour it happened 3 more times. He is at a stage where I sit the potty in the common room, and he walks around naked so he can use the potty whenever he wants. He also has access to it, to eat, whenever he wants. Sigh.

I totally agree with the other reveiwers regarding hard to clean, mildewy seat. This potty was only used a handful of times when the seat started mildewing and absorbing odor. I even covered the thing in bleach in the bathtub at one point I was so disgusted, but even that didn't help. Who wants to completely dry a potty seat each time - good lord, its hard enough just dealing with all of the other sanitary steps of potty training. Don't waste your money!

I have no idea what these folks are complaining about. We have 3 of these, and they are very easy to use, clean, and KEEP clean. Yes, our first seat got mildewy when we didn't realize we had to make sure it was absolutely dry each time, but once we started doing that (which you should probably do anyway...), the other two have been fine. It's lightweight, compact, easy for my 3-year-old to use by herself, convertible seat for my toddler boy (cup turns up), and portable top that can fit on a "big" potty. We love this model!

This potty is too complicated to use on a daily basis. It's a lot to clean and my daughter frequently pees out of it. I also bought the basic baby bjorn and I like that one better. I would recommend buying a potty that is made in one piece (so it's easy to clean).
